As one distinguished contemporary jurist, exegete and theologian who, adopted an Usūlī-jurisprudential approach, Ayatollah Sheikh Mohammad Asef Mohseni (1935-2019) has also dealt with the examination of theological matters. Utilizing rational legacy and displaying particular emphasis on narrative tradition, he came up with innovative ideas within the domain of theological matters. Employing a descriptive-analytical method, this paper goes to revisit his thoughts regarding the divine power with exposition and evaluation. Throughout this discourse, it becomes apparent that he embraces the theologians’ definition of divine power while subjecting the philosophers' interpretation to criticism. Moreover, he considers the agency of God as an agency with motives distinct from the essence.
